Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) comprises the core urbanized heart of Tarpon Springs. This feature class shows the boundary for the CRA using the using the WGS84 Web Mercator projection. No additional information is provided by the attribute table. This feature class is for mapping and visualization purposes only. It includes approximately 200 acres of an elongated area located roughly between Meres Boulevard at the south end and the Anclote River at the north end. Overlapping local jurisdictions include the Tarpon Springs Historic District and the City’s Multimodal Transportation District (MMTD). The MMTD includes objectives and strategies intended to improve the City’s transportation network for multiple travel modes including vehicular, pedestrian, bicycle and transit. The City has a strong existing roadway network that is fairly dense and well connected. The future vision for the MMTD, and especially the CRA, includes an improved urban environment with a stronger mix of land uses, higher residential densities and additional transportation infrastructure investments that are supportive of walking and cycling. Parcels in the study area are mostly non-residential in use and commercial in function. There exist some limited residential areas within the study area, particularly north and west of downtown, west of South Pinellas Avenue and south of the Sponge Docks. Some limited residential also exists along Safford Avenue.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
