Description: FEMA special flood hazard area map is a comparative map display of preliminary and current status of flood zones. The source of the map is FEMA's official websiteZone Classifications:Zone A- An area inundated by 1% annual chance flooding, for which no BFE's (base flood elevation) have been determinedZone AE- An area inundated by 1% annual chance flooding, for which BFE's have been determinedZone AH- An area inundated by 1% annual chance flooding (usually an area of ponding), for which BFE's have been determined; flood depths range from 1 to 3 feetZone AO- An area inundated by 1% annual chance flooding (usually sheet flow on sloping terrain), for average depths have been determined; flood depths range from 1 to 3 feetZone AR- An area inundated by flooding, for which BFE's or average depths have been determined.
